The CBBA Shines once again in the MLB Draft

The traditional MLB Draft was held last July 17-19. This event has been held since 1965 and continues to this day. This year once again the CBBA is represented in the MLB draft this time 2 student athletes were added to our list of 30 students who have been drafted by important teams such as the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, Minnesota Twins, the Houston Astros, New York Mets and the San Francisco Giants among others.

Class of 2022 graduate Yeniel Laboy, 6'2" SS was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 7th round.

Nomar Diaz graduated like Yeniel from the Class of 2022, catcher was selected in the 14th round by the San Francisco Giants.


Albert Oliva, Class of 2020 graduate, who has just been selected by the Detroit Tigers. This is a very special example, Albert is drafted after 2 years in Junior College at New Mexico Military Institute.

Once again the quality and caliber of our students, our trainings, their dedication and consistency is demonstrated.
